UPDATE: The following works will be included
in the forthcoming story collection, A Lil’ Bit of Jim
Matheson. Lil' Bit has two more episodes following the centerpiece Christmas theme. One is about a marble tournament; the other is a vacation to the American northwest, with Native American imagery. I have a Cold War spy theme story called The Pasternak Letters, and many other bits and pieces of '60s poetry, stories and essays. These will all be combined in a short story collection, to be published soon. Growing up, I was never much of a reader. I flunked bone-head English, but I've had a rich and moving family life. My dad's transfers came without notice. My brothers and sisters and I would come home from school one afternoon, and we would live in another town's school district by the next Monday morning. Forty homes, half as many schools, and four different high schools from coast to coast...to have lived in Denton, Texas over half my life and married only once tells all my appreciation for my Tyler, Texas born and raised wife! |
